Installation Notes
This is important !
Before using this PlugIn, you must first read and understand the licensing
agreement which you will find in the file LicenceAgreement.html in the
downloaded zip file.
This PlugIn is a product of Vaquita Software - independent from Vicon Motion
Systems Limited. This means that the licensing method is different. A software
licensing scheme is used instead of the hardware dongle you need for Vicon
systems, so the installation procedure is slightly more complicated.
Zip File Installation
Installation can be done easily directly from the Zip file. Double-click
on the Zip file to open WinZip. Click the Extract button, and select your
Vicon PlugIns folder as the extraction folder. Make sure "Use Folder Names"
is ticked, so that WinZip will make extra folders for you inside your PlugIns
folder. Click Extract, and WinZip will put the files in the right places
for you.
For details as to what goes exactly where, read the Manual Installation
instructions.
Manual Installation
First, find your Vicon PlugIn folder. It's normally c:\Vicon\PlugIns
or c:\Program Files\Vicon\PlugIns. If you can't find that, then find the
Workstation.ini which will be in the \Vicon\Workstation folder and find
the PlugInPath entry under the System heading. DO NOT CHANGE THIS FILE !!!
Just make a note of the folder, and close it.
When you've found the folder, copy the PelvisConverter.vpi file and the
VaqLic.dll file into it (if you already have a copy of VaqLic.dll, keep the
newest one).
Then, create a new folder called PelvisConverter inside the PlugIns
folder, and copy all the HTML filesand the HelpID.map file into it.
The WinZip installation will also copy the Installation Notes and Licence
Agreement.html files into this directory. These are not required, but it's
recommended so that you can find them in the future.
Using the PlugIn
Now you can start Workstation (you'll need to quit Workstation first
if it was already running). If there is any problem with the licence installation,
you may see a message at this point. If you do, note that this is from
the Vaquita PlugIn and will not affect the working of Workstation.
When you open the pipeline, you should see "Convert Pelvic Progression
Angles" as one of the optional processes.
Uninstalling
To uninstall, simply delete the files in the PlugIns folder (PelvisConverterand
VaqLic.dll) and delete the PelvisConverter folder and all its contents. Don't
delete the VaqLic.dll if you are using another Vaquita PlugIn though !
