At the top of the Analyzers page appears the name of the current analyzer settings. To start with there will be just one set of settings, called "AnalyzerSettings1" but as you build up a selection of different settings, you be able to select between them individually from the drop down list. This is useful when you want to extract different types of data for different studies.
The analyzer setup which is showing when you press the Okay button will be the settings used for that run of the pipeline.
You can change the name of the settings by typing a new name in the text box. The New, Copy and Delete buttons to the right of the text box allow you to manipulate different settings.
If you use the Trial Types feature in Vicon Workstation, the name of the analysis settings will be stored according to the trial type. This allows you to set up different analysis settings for the different trial types, allowing fully automated use of the pipeline processing.
The settings for the analyzers, and all the settings for the Output options and Preferences page are stored in a file inside the ParameterCalculator folder with the name given in the Settings File drop-down list and the extension "stg". Sometimes it can be useful to manually move or copy these files (to share analysis settings with other users for example).
The analyzers you have defined are listed on the Analyzers tab of the main settings dialog.
You can select any one of the analyzers in the list, and the buttons to the right of the dialog will become enabled. Double-clicking one of the analyzers will automatically bring up the settings dialog for that analyzer.
To add a new analyzer, press the New button. This will present another tabbed dialog, which has a different analyzer type on each page. Choose the analyzer type you want, fill in the details, and press the Okay button. The different analyzer types are described here.
This brings up the settings dialog for the selected analyzer, allowing you to make changes in the settings. The different analyzer settings are described here.
This will delete the analyzer. The only chance to undo this operation if
you delete an analyzer by mistake is to press the Cancel button to quit the
dialog, but you will lose any other changes that you made.
This button makes a new copy of the selected analyzer, but swaps the contexts from right to left, or from left to right. It swaps the output context, the contexts of all the events for that analyzer, and also attempts to change the first part of the label for the trajectory data for such analyzers.
It does nothing to any General context, and will not change the trajectory label if it does not start with "L", "R", "Left" or "Right" (regardless of case).
The Up and Down buttons move the selected analyzer in the list, so that you can arrange them in a specific order. This is useful if you want to output the results in a specific order. If you just want them grouped by context, you can use the option on the Output page.
